My name is Barbara Rouleau and glass has been an integral part of my life for over 30 years. I received my Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree from the University of Tarleton, a part of the Texas A & M system. As part of my degree plan I studied stained glass. I fell in love with the feel of glass and all of the wonderful emotions that could be expressed with color and lines. Glass is strong yet so delicate. I continued to work with glass for years, exploring the different techniques and applications available. Glass became my outlet as a hobby, I never grew tired of the beauty and sparkle it offered. Along the way I have worked with many creative mediums. I hand quilted, painted and looked for a deeper passion in my art. It was a new experience with glass in a class given by Larry Brickman, a international tourchwork artist and teacher that really gave me the medium to express myself with glass. Since that time I have continued to study this wonderful art and feel I will never run out of creative possibilities. I am now living my dream as a glass artist engaging in the magic of using fire as a tool and experience as my guide to offer my glasswork to you. I hope you will see the passion in each of my beads. I love doing my hobby and high production is not what I do. It makes me happy and it is so mesmerizing and relaxing. May you enjoy the mystery of the beads as much as I have in bringing each bead to life. It is most rewarding knowing someone is enjoying my creations. I am blessed to live in Friday Harbor, Washington with my wonderful husband Ed. Without him none of this would be possible. He is my best friend, the love of my life and my biggest fan. I am constantly busy in my studio torching everyday and do not always manage to add new beads on my website as often as I would like. If you would like to be on my mailing list so you can be one of the first to see a new bead or set when it is available sign up HERE.
